Senior Citizens

Between the Federal, State and local governments, we the senior citizens in America can not seem to catch a break. Our Federal government is running up the deficit at such an alarming rate that our great great great grandkids will be paying it off. I never see them trying to find ways to save money instead of getting on the run-a-way spending train. Instead Obama hires more and more czars to do only God knows what and guess who pays for them? We do.
We senior citizens on Social Security will not receive a raise this year, however, our costs for insurance will continue to rise. Electric bills will continue to rise, fuel bills to heat our homes will still rise, groceries prices continue to rise, gasoline prices to drive our cars will continue to rise, our State legislators have taken away the break for senior citizens on property taxes, raised the amount that we pay for vehicle taxes and fees, insurance for our homes and cars will continue to rise. Congress will get their raises along with all of the President’s cabinet and probably all of the czars!
Obama says there is no “DEATH PANEL” in the healthcare plan – they won’t need one when they start cutting Medicare covered services. Most of us are not in a financial category where we can pay for those services out of our pocket. When we are unable to get the diagnostic tests or pay the co-pays for life-saving care, you are sentencing us to death. Besides the wording in the H.R. 3200 is so ambiguous that the “DEATH PANEL” could still show up after the medical panels are chosen and decide what is to be covered and not covered, etc. The Senators and House of Representatives would never know what is in the bill because they never read the bills that they sign.
Just remember seniors that eventually all of these legislators who are controlling our future will have to be on Medicare someday. Every person reaching the age of 65 has to sign up for Medicare. What goes around, comes around.
